Amrita surprised about family being ‘unaware’ about ‘creep’ Sajid; Farhan, GF react

Mumbai:  Sajid Khan has turned out to be one of the biggest casualties of the #MeToo movement in the country. The filmmaker had stepped down from his directorial post of ‘Housefull 4’ as multiple women, including actresses Saloni Chopra, Rachel White, a journalist, among others, have accused him of sexual and other forms of harassment.

As accusations against him started piling on Friday, his family members, sister Farah Khan and cousin Farhan Akhtar had expressed shock to know about his misconduct and were concerned about how he would ‘atone’ for his actions.

‘Aisha’ and ‘Kai Po Che’ fame Amrita Puri is the latest actress to open up about Sajid and said it was a well-known fact that he is ‘creep’ and that she was advised to stay as far away from him as possible. She also ‘refused to believe’ that people from the industry or his family members were surprised about the allegations.

Farhan wasn’t too pleased with her tweet and said he ‘deeply resents’ her ‘insinuation’ that he or his family were aware about his behaviour and did nothing. He concluded by saying that ‘your anger is justified’ but not ‘your conspiracy theories.’

Amrita replied by saying her tweet was not directed to him, and she asked if he was indeed related to Sajid and apologised for generalising.

We’re not sure if that was indeed the truth, but even Farhan’s rumoured girlfriend Shibani Dandekar stood up for the multi-talented celebrity.

She stressed Farhan ‘DIDNT’ know about it and spoke up the moment he knew and also expressed annoyance about ‘blaming and shaming’ family members instead of ‘holding the culprit responsible.’

It’s surely getting messy not just for the accused, but also for those even associated with them in any capacity.
