When Lauren Olivia Ledford decided to order a pizza one night, she wasn’t expecting to get served a long lecture on tipping.
But that’s exactly what happened when Ledford from California decided not to tip the delivery guy.
A week after the order she came home to find a note on her door step from a disgruntled delivery driver.
Shocked over this bizarre situation she decided to share the note on social media. “These are the last two pages, and the scariest,” Ledford writes in a post on Facebook.
In the note, the man said, “You not tipping is making it so I’m actually losing money working this job.”
“So please, next time tip your delivery driver. And if it turns out that delivery driver is me again, and you do not tip yet again, I’m probably gonna rob you,” he threatened.
He proceeds: “I’m only joking, but not really. Don’t risk it though. Who knows what a disgruntled delivery driver who can’t afford to eat that day is capable of.”
The driver also admits in the note he was not in a sober state. “I’m just kind high and so, I need you tip money to stay toasty,” he noted.
The content of the note has left her terrified and worried for her safety. Ledford in her Facebook post said she filed a police complaint. Metro reported, Redondo Beach police are looking into the incident.
