Jakarta: All eyes will be on India’s PV Sindhu as she eyes a historic gold medal when she faces World no one Tai Tzu-ying in the women’s singles badminton final of the Asian Games 2018 here on Tuesday.
The possibility of a Sindhu-Saina final was written off when the Taiwanese Tai Tzu-ying beat the 2012 Olympic bronze medallist 21-17, 21-14 in straight games in the semifinal.
Meanwhile, Sindhu overcame Japan’s Akane Yamaguchi 21-17, 15-21, 21-10 in their last four clash.
If the Hyderabadi shuttler wins on Tuesday, it will be India’s first individual gold in badminton.
