A cat ended up so distraught after her owner’s death that she spent most of the last year by the woman’s grave. She was first heard crying while lying on the ground of a burial plot in Central Java, Indonesia.

Despite being offered food and water by passers-by, she refused to leave the grave. A man named Keli Prayitno tried to adopt her but she chose to go back to the same spot, reports the Mirror.

Amazingly the cat walks back to her former home everyday where she is fed by her owner’s children and then returns to the grave. Prayitno reveals that the feline’s owner had been an elderly lady called Kundari.
