Chaozhou: In an incident involving animal cruelty, a video clip shot in China showing a dog tied behind a van speeding on the streets, has sparked outrage among people.
According to a report in the Daily Mail, the footage was uploaded on social media by an unidentified person. The anonymous person also claimed that the driver of the vehicle was unaware about the dog.
The incident is believed to have taken place in the Chinese city of Chaozhou in Guandong province.
The 24-second video clip shows the vehicle speeding with the poor dog tied behind it, trying to save free itself from the rope. However, he is unsuccessful in doing so and gets dragged away with it.
The dog tries to stand up, but due to the speed of the vehicle, is unable to do so and is forcefully dragged onto its stomach.
The vehicle owner claimed that he did not know about the dog and had borrowed the vehicle from the dog’s owner. The culprit behind the incident is unknown.
The report stated that the dog survived the incident but sustained minor injuries.
