Mumbai: Amitabh Bachchan has three grandchildren, Navya Naveli and Agastya from his daughter Shweta and Aaradhya from Abhishek. And the megastar has written a heartfelt letter specifically addressed to his granddaughters to stand up against the societal challenges that a woman faces.
He asks them not to get bogged down by the numerous restrictions that a woman has to go through, regarding their dressing, marriage and ‘log kya kahenge’.
He wants the girls to change certain norms against women and wants them to set their own boundaries, make their own choices and rise above people’s judgements, and most importantly, set an example for women everywhere.
Bachchan believes that once they accomplish this task they would have done more than he has done, and then it will be an ‘honor’ for him to be known not as Amitabh Bachchan, but as their grandfather.
