How to install amd-opencl-icd on Debian Unstable (Sid)


Install amd-opencl-icd

Installing amd-opencl-icd package on Debian Unstable (Sid) is as easy as running the following command on terminal:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install amd-opencl-icd

Uninstall amd-opencl-icd

To remove just amd-opencl-icd package itself from Debian Unstable (Sid) execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove amd-opencl-icd

Uninstall amd-opencl-icd and it’s dependent packages

To remove the amd-opencl-icd package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed from Debian Sid.

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove amd-opencl-icd

Purging amd-opencl-icd

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of amd-opencl-icd from Debian Sid then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge amd-opencl-icd

To delete configuration and/or data files of amd-opencl-icd and it’s dependencies from Debian Sid then execute:

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove amd-opencl-icd
