How to install apt-config-auto-update on Debian Unstable (Sid)

Install apt-config-auto-update

Installing apt-config-auto-update package on Debian Unstable (Sid) is as easy as running the following command on terminal:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install apt-config-auto-update

Uninstall apt-config-auto-update

To remove just apt-config-auto-update package itself from Debian Unstable (Sid) execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove apt-config-auto-update

Uninstall apt-config-auto-update and it’s dependent packages

To remove the apt-config-auto-update package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed from Debian Sid.

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove apt-config-auto-update

Purging apt-config-auto-update

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of apt-config-auto-update from Debian Sid then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge apt-config-auto-update

To delete configuration and/or data files of apt-config-auto-update and it’s dependencies from Debian Sid then execute:

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove apt-config-auto-update
