How to install buildd on Debian Unstable (Sid)

Install buildd

Installing buildd package on Debian Unstable (Sid) is as easy as running the following command on terminal:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install buildd

buildd package information

distro Debian Unstable (Sid)
section Main
name buildd
version 0.68.0-1
description Daemon for automatically building Debian binary packages from Debian sources
subsection devel
maintainer Debian buildd-tools Developers

Uninstall buildd

To remove just buildd package itself from Debian Unstable (Sid) execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove buildd

Uninstall buildd and it’s dependent packages

To remove the buildd package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed from Debian Sid.

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove buildd

Purging buildd

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of buildd from Debian Sid then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge buildd

To delete configuration and/or data files of buildd and it’s dependencies from Debian Sid then execute:

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove buildd
