How to install firmware-amd-graphics on Debian Unstable (Sid)


Install firmware-amd-graphics

Installing firmware-amd-graphics package on Debian Unstable (Sid) is as easy as running the following command on terminal:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install firmware-amd-graphics

Uninstall firmware-amd-graphics

To remove just firmware-amd-graphics package itself from Debian Unstable (Sid) execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove firmware-amd-graphics

Uninstall firmware-amd-graphics and it’s dependent packages

To remove the firmware-amd-graphics package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed from Debian Sid.

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove firmware-amd-graphics

Purging firmware-amd-graphics

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of firmware-amd-graphics from Debian Sid then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge firmware-amd-graphics

To delete configuration and/or data files of firmware-amd-graphics and it’s dependencies from Debian Sid then execute:

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove firmware-amd-graphics
