How to install joint-state-publisher on Debian Unstable (Sid)


Install joint-state-publisher

Installing joint-state-publisher package on Debian Unstable (Sid) is as easy as running the following command on terminal:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install joint-state-publisher

Uninstall joint-state-publisher

To remove just joint-state-publisher package itself from Debian Unstable (Sid) execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove joint-state-publisher

Uninstall joint-state-publisher and it’s dependent packages

To remove the joint-state-publisher package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed from Debian Sid.

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove joint-state-publisher

Purging joint-state-publisher

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of joint-state-publisher from Debian Sid then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge joint-state-publisher

To delete configuration and/or data files of joint-state-publisher and it’s dependencies from Debian Sid then execute:

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove joint-state-publisher
