How to install libgl1-nvidia-glx on Debian Unstable (Sid)

Install libgl1-nvidia-glx

Installing libgl1-nvidia-glx package on Debian Unstable (Sid) is as easy as running the following command on terminal:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install libgl1-nvidia-glx

Uninstall libgl1-nvidia-glx

To remove just libgl1-nvidia-glx package itself from Debian Unstable (Sid) execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove libgl1-nvidia-glx

Uninstall libgl1-nvidia-glx and it’s dependent packages

To remove the libgl1-nvidia-glx package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed from Debian Sid.

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgl1-nvidia-glx

Purging libgl1-nvidia-glx

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of libgl1-nvidia-glx from Debian Sid then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge libgl1-nvidia-glx

To delete configuration and/or data files of libgl1-nvidia-glx and it’s dependencies from Debian Sid then execute:

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgl1-nvidia-glx
