How to install libtomcat7-java on Debian Unstable (Sid)


Install libtomcat7-java

Installing libtomcat7-java package on Debian Unstable (Sid) is as easy as running the following command on terminal:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install libtomcat7-java

Uninstall libtomcat7-java

To remove just libtomcat7-java package itself from Debian Unstable (Sid) execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove libtomcat7-java

Uninstall libtomcat7-java and it’s dependent packages

To remove the libtomcat7-java package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed from Debian Sid.

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libtomcat7-java

Purging libtomcat7-java

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of libtomcat7-java from Debian Sid then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge libtomcat7-java

To delete configuration and/or data files of libtomcat7-java and it’s dependencies from Debian Sid then execute:

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libtomcat7-java
