How to install mount on Debian Unstable (Sid)

Install mount

Installing mount package on Debian Unstable (Sid) is as easy as running the following command on terminal:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install mount

mount package information

distro Debian Unstable (Sid)
section Main
name mount
version 2.28-1
description tools for mounting and manipulating filesystems
subsection admin
maintainer Debian util-linux Maintainers

Uninstall mount

To remove just mount package itself from Debian Unstable (Sid) execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove mount

Uninstall mount and it’s dependent packages

To remove the mount package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed from Debian Sid.

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mount

Purging mount

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of mount from Debian Sid then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge mount

To delete configuration and/or data files of mount and it’s dependencies from Debian Sid then execute:

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mount
