Install mpi-default-bin

Installing mpi-default-bin package on Debian Unstable (Sid) is as easy as running the following command on terminal:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install mpi-default-bin

mpi-default-bin package information

Uninstall mpi-default-bin

To remove just mpi-default-bin package itself from Debian Unstable (Sid) execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove mpi-default-bin

Uninstall mpi-default-bin and it’s dependent packages

To remove the mpi-default-bin package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed from Debian Sid.

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mpi-default-bin

Purging mpi-default-bin

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of mpi-default-bin from Debian Sid then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge mpi-default-bin

To delete configuration and/or data files of mpi-default-bin and it’s dependencies from Debian Sid then execute:

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mpi-default-bin
