How to install mumble-server on Debian Unstable (Sid)


Install mumble-server

Installing mumble-server package on Debian Unstable (Sid) is as easy as running the following command on terminal:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install mumble-server

mumble-server package information

distro Debian Unstable (Sid)
section Main
name mumble-server
version 1.2.12-1
description Low latency encrypted VoIP server
subsection sound

maintainer Christopher Knadle

Uninstall mumble-server

To remove just mumble-server package itself from Debian Unstable (Sid) execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove mumble-server

Uninstall mumble-server and it’s dependent packages

To remove the mumble-server package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed from Debian Sid.

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mumble-server

Purging mumble-server

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of mumble-server from Debian Sid then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge mumble-server

To delete configuration and/or data files of mumble-server and it’s dependencies from Debian Sid then execute:

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mumble-server
