How to install nagios-nrpe-server on Debian Unstable (Sid)

Install nagios-nrpe-server

Installing nagios-nrpe-server package on Debian Unstable (Sid) is as easy as running the following command on terminal:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install nagios-nrpe-server

Uninstall nagios-nrpe-server

To remove just nagios-nrpe-server package itself from Debian Unstable (Sid) execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove nagios-nrpe-server

Uninstall nagios-nrpe-server and it’s dependent packages

To remove the nagios-nrpe-server package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed from Debian Sid.

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove nagios-nrpe-server

Purging nagios-nrpe-server

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of nagios-nrpe-server from Debian Sid then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge nagios-nrpe-server

To delete configuration and/or data files of nagios-nrpe-server and it’s dependencies from Debian Sid then execute:

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove nagios-nrpe-server
