How to install nslcd on Debian Unstable (Sid)


Install nslcd

Installing nslcd package on Debian Unstable (Sid) is as easy as running the following command on terminal:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install nslcd

nslcd package information

distro Debian Unstable (Sid)

version 0.9.6-3
description daemon for NSS and PAM lookups using LDAP

Uninstall nslcd

To remove just nslcd package itself from Debian Unstable (Sid) execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove nslcd

Uninstall nslcd and it’s dependent packages

To remove the nslcd package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed from Debian Sid.

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove nslcd

Purging nslcd

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of nslcd from Debian Sid then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge nslcd

To delete configuration and/or data files of nslcd and it’s dependencies from Debian Sid then execute:

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove nslcd
