How to install openjdk-8-jre-zero on Debian Unstable (Sid)


Install openjdk-8-jre-zero

Installing openjdk-8-jre-zero package on Debian Unstable (Sid) is as easy as running the following command on terminal:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install openjdk-8-jre-zero

Uninstall

openjdk-8-jre-zero

To remove just openjdk-8-jre-zero package itself from Debian Unstable (Sid) execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove openjdk-8-jre-zero

Uninstall openjdk-8-jre-zero and it’s dependent packages

To remove the openjdk-8-jre-zero package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed from Debian Sid.

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove openjdk-8-jre-zero

Purging openjdk-8-jre-zero

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of openjdk-8-jre-zero from Debian Sid then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge openjdk-8-jre-zero

To delete configuration and/or data files of openjdk-8-jre-zero and it’s dependencies from Debian Sid then execute:

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove openjdk-8-jre-zero
