How to install openssh-known-hosts on Debian Unstable (Sid)


Install openssh-known-hosts

Installing openssh-known-hosts package on Debian Unstable (Sid) is as easy as running the following command on terminal:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install openssh-known-hosts

Uninstall openssh-known-hosts

To remove just openssh-known-hosts package itself from Debian Unstable (Sid) execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove openssh-known-hosts

Uninstall openssh-known-hosts and it’s dependent packages

To remove the openssh-known-hosts package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed from Debian Sid.

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove openssh-known-hosts

Purging openssh-known-hosts

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of openssh-known-hosts from Debian Sid then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge openssh-known-hosts

To delete configuration and/or data files of openssh-known-hosts and it’s dependencies from Debian Sid then execute:

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove openssh-known-hosts
