How to install partclone on Debian Unstable (Sid)


Install partclone

Installing partclone package on Debian Unstable (Sid) is as easy as running the following command on terminal:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install partclone

partclone package information

distro Debian Unstable (Sid)

name partclone
version 0.2.86-1
description Utility to clone and restore a partition
subsection admin

Uninstall partclone

To remove just partclone package itself from Debian Unstable (Sid) execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove partclone

Uninstall partclone and it’s dependent packages

To remove the partclone package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed from Debian Sid.

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove partclone

Purging partclone

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of partclone from Debian Sid then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge partclone

To delete configuration and/or data files of partclone and it’s dependencies from Debian Sid then execute:

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove partclone
