How to install partimage on Debian Unstable (Sid)


Install partimage

Installing partimage package on Debian Unstable (Sid) is as easy as running the following command on terminal:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install partimage

partimage package information

distro Debian Unstable (Sid)
section Main
name partimage
version 0.6.8-3+b1
description backup partitions into a compressed image file
subsection admin
website partimage.org
maintainer Debian QA Group

Uninstall partimage

To remove just partimage package itself from Debian Unstable (Sid) execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove partimage

Uninstall partimage and it’s dependent packages

To remove the partimage package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed from Debian Sid.

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove partimage

Purging partimage

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of partimage from Debian Sid then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge partimage

To delete configuration and/or data files of partimage and it’s dependencies from Debian Sid then execute:

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove partimage
