How to install pelican on Debian Unstable (Sid)


Install pelican

Installing pelican package on Debian Unstable (Sid) is as easy as running the following command on terminal:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install pelican

pelican package information

distro Debian Unstable (Sid)
section Main
name pelican
version 3.6.3-1
description blog aware, static website generator
subsection web
website getpelican.com
maintainer Debian Python Applications Team

Uninstall pelican

To remove just pelican package itself from Debian Unstable (Sid) execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove pelican

Uninstall pelican and it’s dependent packages

To remove the pelican package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed from Debian Sid.

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove pelican

Purging pelican

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of pelican from Debian Sid then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge pelican

To delete configuration and/or data files of pelican and it’s dependencies from Debian Sid then execute:

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove pelican
