How to install php-crypt-cbc on Debian Unstable (Sid)

Install php-crypt-cbc

Installing php-crypt-cbc package on Debian Unstable (Sid) is as easy as running the following command on terminal:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install php-crypt-cbc

Uninstall php-crypt-cbc

To remove just php-crypt-cbc package itself from Debian Unstable (Sid) execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove php-crypt-cbc

Uninstall php-crypt-cbc and it’s dependent packages

To remove the php-crypt-cbc package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed from Debian Sid.

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove php-crypt-cbc

Purging php-crypt-cbc

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of php-crypt-cbc from Debian Sid then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge php-crypt-cbc

To delete configuration and/or data files of php-crypt-cbc and it’s dependencies from Debian Sid then execute:

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove php-crypt-cbc
