How to install pk-update-icon on Debian Unstable (Sid)

Install pk-update-icon

Installing pk-update-icon package on Debian Unstable (Sid) is as easy as running the following command on terminal:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install pk-update-icon

Uninstall pk-update-icon

To remove just pk-update-icon package itself from Debian Unstable (Sid) execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove pk-update-icon

Uninstall pk-update-icon and it’s dependent packages

To remove the pk-update-icon package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed from Debian Sid.

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove pk-update-icon

Purging pk-update-icon

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of pk-update-icon from Debian Sid then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge pk-update-icon

To delete configuration and/or data files of pk-update-icon and it’s dependencies from Debian Sid then execute:

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove pk-update-icon
