How to install populations on Debian Unstable (Sid)


Install populations

Installing populations package on Debian Unstable (Sid) is as easy as running the following command on terminal:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install populations

populations package information

distro Debian Unstable (Sid)
section Main
name populations
version 1.2.33+svn0120106-2.1
description population genetic software
subsection science
website bioinformatics.org / ~tryphon / populations /

Uninstall populations

To remove just populations package itself from Debian Unstable (Sid) execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove populations

Uninstall populations and it’s dependent packages

To remove the populations package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed from Debian Sid.

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove populations

Purging populations

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of populations from Debian Sid then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge populations

To delete configuration and/or data files of populations and it’s dependencies from Debian Sid then execute:

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove populations
