How to install postgresql-server-dev-all on Debian Unstable (Sid)


Install postgresql-server-dev-all

Installing postgresql-server-dev-all package on Debian Unstable (Sid) is as easy as running the following command on terminal:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install postgresql-server-dev-all

Uninstall postgresql-server-dev-all

To remove just postgresql-server-dev-all package itself from Debian Unstable (Sid) execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove postgresql-server-dev-all

Uninstall postgresql-server-dev-all and it’s dependent packages

To remove the postgresql-server-dev-all package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed from Debian Sid.

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove postgresql-server-dev-all

Purging postgresql-server-dev-all

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of postgresql-server-dev-all from Debian Sid then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge postgresql-server-dev-all

To delete configuration and/or data files of postgresql-server-dev-all and it’s dependencies from Debian Sid then execute:

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove postgresql-server-dev-all
