How to install publican on Debian Unstable (Sid)


Install publican

Installing publican package on Debian Unstable (Sid) is as easy as running the following command on terminal:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install publican

publican package information

distro Debian Unstable (Sid)
section Main
name publican
version 4.3.2-1
description Tool for publishing material authored in DocBook XML
subsection perl
website fedorahosted.org / publican / 
maintainer Raphaël Hertzog

Uninstall publican

To remove just publican package itself from Debian Unstable (Sid) execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove publican

Uninstall publican and it’s dependent packages

To remove the publican package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed from Debian Sid.

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove publican

Purging publican

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of publican from Debian Sid then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge publican

To delete configuration and/or data files of publican and it’s dependencies from Debian Sid then execute:

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove publican
