How to install qemu-system-ppc on Debian Unstable (Sid)

Install qemu-system-ppc

Installing qemu-system-ppc package on Debian Unstable (Sid) is as easy as running the following command on terminal:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install qemu-system-ppc

Uninstall qemu-system-ppc

To remove just qemu-system-ppc package itself from Debian Unstable (Sid) execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove qemu-system-ppc

Uninstall qemu-system-ppc and it’s dependent packages

To remove the qemu-system-ppc package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed from Debian Sid.

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove qemu-system-ppc

Purging qemu-system-ppc

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of qemu-system-ppc from Debian Sid then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge qemu-system-ppc

To delete configuration and/or data files of qemu-system-ppc and it’s dependencies from Debian Sid then execute:

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove qemu-system-ppc
