How to install r-cran-mapdata on Debian Unstable (Sid)


Install r-cran-mapdata

Installing r-cran-mapdata package on Debian Unstable (Sid) is as easy as running the following command on terminal:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install r-cran-mapdata

Uninstall r-cran-mapdata

To remove just r-cran-mapdata package itself from Debian Unstable (Sid) execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove r-cran-mapdata

Uninstall r-cran-mapdata and it’s dependent packages

To remove the r-cran-mapdata package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed from Debian Sid.

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove r-cran-mapdata

Purging r-cran-mapdata

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of r-cran-mapdata from Debian Sid then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge r-cran-mapdata

To delete configuration and/or data files of r-cran-mapdata and it’s dependencies from Debian Sid then execute:

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove r-cran-mapdata
