How to install rally on Debian Unstable (Sid)


Install rally

Installing rally package on Debian Unstable (Sid) is as easy as running the following command on terminal:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install rally

rally package information

distro Debian Unstable (Sid)
section Main
name rally
version 0.1.1-1
description benchmark System for OpenStack – command line and configuration
subsection net
website github.com / stackforge / rally
maintainer PKG OpenStack

Uninstall rally

To remove just rally package itself from Debian Unstable (Sid) execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove rally

Uninstall rally and it’s dependent packages

To remove the rally package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed from Debian Sid.

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove rally

Purging rally

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of rally from Debian Sid then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge rally

To delete configuration and/or data files of rally and it’s dependencies from Debian Sid then execute:

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove rally
