How to install remake on Debian Unstable (Sid)


Install remake

Installing remake package on Debian Unstable (Sid) is as easy as running the following command on terminal:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install remake

remake package information

distro Debian Unstable (Sid)
section Main
name remake
version 3.82+dbg0.9+dfsg-2
description GNU make fork with improved error reporting and debugging

Uninstall remake

To remove just remake package itself from Debian Unstable (Sid) execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove remake

Uninstall remake and it’s dependent packages

To remove the remake package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed from Debian Sid.

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove remake

Purging remake

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of remake from Debian Sid then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge remake

To delete configuration and/or data files of remake and it’s dependencies from Debian Sid then execute:

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove remake
