How to install root-system on Debian Unstable (Sid)


Install root-system

Installing root-system package on Debian Unstable (Sid) is as easy as running the following command on terminal:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install root-system

root-system package information

distro Debian Unstable (Sid)
section Main
name root-system
version 5.34.19+dfsg-1.2
description metapackage to install all ROOT packages
subsection science

Uninstall root-system

To remove just root-system package itself from Debian Unstable (Sid) execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove root-system

Uninstall root-system and it’s dependent packages

To remove the root-system package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed from Debian Sid.

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove root-system

Purging root-system

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of root-system from Debian Sid then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge root-system

To delete configuration and/or data files of root-system and it’s dependencies from Debian Sid then execute:

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove root-system
