How to install ros-message-generation on Debian Unstable (Sid)


Install ros-message-generation

Installing ros-message-generation package on Debian Unstable (Sid) is as easy as running the following command on terminal:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install ros-message-generation

Uninstall ros-message-generation

To remove just ros-message-generation package itself from Debian Unstable (Sid) execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove ros-message-generation

Uninstall ros-message-generation and it’s dependent packages

To remove the ros-message-generation package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed from Debian Sid.

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ros-message-generation

Purging ros-message-generation

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of ros-message-generation from Debian Sid then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge ros-message-generation

To delete configuration and/or data files of ros-message-generation and it’s dependencies from Debian Sid then execute:

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ros-message-generation
