How to install rxvt-unicode-256color on Debian Unstable (Sid)

Install rxvt-unicode-256color

Installing rxvt-unicode-256color package on Debian Unstable (Sid) is as easy as running the following command on terminal:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install rxvt-unicode-256color

Uninstall rxvt-unicode-256color

To remove just rxvt-unicode-256color package itself from Debian Unstable (Sid) execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove rxvt-unicode-256color

Uninstall rxvt-unicode-256color and it’s dependent packages

To remove the rxvt-unicode-256color package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed from Debian Sid.

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove rxvt-unicode-256color

Purging rxvt-unicode-256color

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of rxvt-unicode-256color from Debian Sid then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge rxvt-unicode-256color

To delete configuration and/or data files of rxvt-unicode-256color and it’s dependencies from Debian Sid then execute:

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove rxvt-unicode-256color
