How to install s3ql on Debian Unstable (Sid)


Install s3ql

Installing s3ql package on Debian Unstable (Sid) is as easy as running the following command on terminal:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install s3ql

s3ql package information

Uninstall s3ql

To remove just s3ql package itself from Debian Unstable (Sid) execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove s3ql

Uninstall s3ql and it’s dependent packages

To remove the s3ql package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed from Debian Sid.

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove s3ql

Purging s3ql

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of s3ql from Debian Sid then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge s3ql

To delete configuration and/or data files of s3ql and it’s dependencies from Debian Sid then execute:

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove s3ql
