How to install sbuild on Debian Unstable (Sid)

Install sbuild

Installing sbuild package on Debian Unstable (Sid) is as easy as running the following command on terminal:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install sbuild

sbuild package information

distro Debian Unstable (Sid)

name sbuild
version 0.68.0-1
description Tool for building Debian binary packages from Debian sources

maintainer Debian buildd-tools Developers

Uninstall sbuild

To remove just sbuild package itself from Debian Unstable (Sid) execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove sbuild

Uninstall sbuild and it’s dependent packages

To remove the sbuild package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed from Debian Sid.

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove sbuild

Purging sbuild

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of sbuild from Debian Sid then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge sbuild

To delete configuration and/or data files of sbuild and it’s dependencies from Debian Sid then execute:

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove sbuild
