How to install slirp on Debian Unstable (Sid)


Install slirp

Installing slirp package on Debian Unstable (Sid) is as easy as running the following command on terminal:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install slirp

slirp package information

distro Debian Unstable (Sid)

name slirp
version 1:1.0.17-8
description SLIP/PPP emulator using a dial up shell account

Uninstall slirp

To remove just slirp package itself from Debian Unstable (Sid) execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove slirp

Uninstall slirp and it’s dependent packages

To remove the slirp package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed from Debian Sid.

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove slirp

Purging slirp

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of slirp from Debian Sid then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge slirp

To delete configuration and/or data files of slirp and it’s dependencies from Debian Sid then execute:

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove slirp
