How to install sonata on Debian Unstable (Sid)


Install sonata

Installing sonata package on Debian Unstable (Sid) is as easy as running the following command on terminal:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install sonata

sonata package information

distro Debian Unstable (Sid)
section Main
name sonata
version 1.6.2.1-6
description GTK+ client for the Music Player Daemon (MPD)
subsection sound

maintainer Python Applications Packaging Team

Uninstall sonata

To remove just sonata package itself from Debian Unstable (Sid) execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove sonata

Uninstall sonata and it’s dependent packages

To remove the sonata package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed from Debian Sid.

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove sonata

Purging sonata

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of sonata from Debian Sid then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge sonata

To delete configuration and/or data files of sonata and it’s dependencies from Debian Sid then execute:

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove sonata
