How to install sonic on Debian Unstable (Sid)


Install sonic

Installing sonic package on Debian Unstable (Sid) is as easy as running the following command on terminal:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install sonic

sonic package information

distro Debian Unstable (Sid)

name sonic
version 0.2.0-3
description Simple utility to speed up or slow down speech
subsection sound

Uninstall sonic

To remove just sonic package itself from Debian Unstable (Sid) execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove sonic

Uninstall sonic and it’s dependent packages

To remove the sonic package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed from Debian Sid.

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove sonic

Purging sonic

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of sonic from Debian Sid then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge sonic

To delete configuration and/or data files of sonic and it’s dependencies from Debian Sid then execute:

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove sonic
