How to install sonic-pi-server on Debian Unstable (Sid)

Install sonic-pi-server

Installing sonic-pi-server package on Debian Unstable (Sid) is as easy as running the following command on terminal:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install sonic-pi-server

Uninstall sonic-pi-server

To remove just sonic-pi-server package itself from Debian Unstable (Sid) execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove sonic-pi-server

Uninstall sonic-pi-server and it’s dependent packages

To remove the sonic-pi-server package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed from Debian Sid.

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove sonic-pi-server

Purging sonic-pi-server

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of sonic-pi-server from Debian Sid then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge sonic-pi-server

To delete configuration and/or data files of sonic-pi-server and it’s dependencies from Debian Sid then execute:

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove sonic-pi-server
