How to install splix on Debian Unstable (Sid)


Install splix

Installing splix package on Debian Unstable (Sid) is as easy as running the following command on terminal:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install splix

splix package information

distro Debian Unstable (Sid)
section Main
name splix
version 2.0.0+svn315-4
description transitional dummy package for splix printer driver
subsection oldlibs
website splix.ap2c.org
maintainer Debian Printing Team

Uninstall splix

To remove just splix package itself from Debian Unstable (Sid) execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove splix

Uninstall splix and it’s dependent packages

To remove the splix package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed from Debian Sid.

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove splix

Purging splix

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of splix from Debian Sid then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge splix

To delete configuration and/or data files of splix and it’s dependencies from Debian Sid then execute:

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove splix
