How to install symlinks on Debian Unstable (Sid)


Install symlinks

Installing symlinks package on Debian Unstable (Sid) is as easy as running the following command on terminal:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install symlinks

symlinks package information

distro Debian Unstable (Sid)
section Main
name symlinks
version 1.4-3
description scan/change symbolic links
subsection utils
maintainer Gunnar Wolf

Uninstall symlinks

To remove just symlinks package itself from Debian Unstable (Sid) execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove symlinks

Uninstall symlinks and it’s dependent packages

To remove the symlinks package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed from Debian Sid.

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove symlinks

Purging symlinks

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of symlinks from Debian Sid then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge symlinks

To delete configuration and/or data files of symlinks and it’s dependencies from Debian Sid then execute:

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove symlinks
