How to install syslog-ng-mod-rss on Debian Unstable (Sid)

Install syslog-ng-mod-rss

Installing syslog-ng-mod-rss package on Debian Unstable (Sid) is as easy as running the following command on terminal:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install syslog-ng-mod-rss

Uninstall syslog-ng-mod-rss

To remove just syslog-ng-mod-rss package itself from Debian Unstable (Sid) execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove syslog-ng-mod-rss

Uninstall syslog-ng-mod-rss and it’s dependent packages

To remove the syslog-ng-mod-rss package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed from Debian Sid.

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove syslog-ng-mod-rss

Purging syslog-ng-mod-rss

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of syslog-ng-mod-rss from Debian Sid then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge syslog-ng-mod-rss

To delete configuration and/or data files of syslog-ng-mod-rss and it’s dependencies from Debian Sid then execute:

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove syslog-ng-mod-rss
