How to install tilecache on Debian Unstable (Sid)


Install tilecache

Installing tilecache package on Debian Unstable (Sid) is as easy as running the following command on terminal:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install tilecache

tilecache package information

distro Debian Unstable (Sid)
section Main
name tilecache
version 2.11+ds-2
description Web map tile caching system
subsection web

maintainer Debian GIS Project

Uninstall tilecache

To remove just tilecache package itself from Debian Unstable (Sid) execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove tilecache

Uninstall tilecache and it’s dependent packages

To remove the tilecache package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed from Debian Sid.

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove tilecache

Purging tilecache

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of tilecache from Debian Sid then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge tilecache

To delete configuration and/or data files of tilecache and it’s dependencies from Debian Sid then execute:

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove tilecache
