How to install u-boot-tools on Debian Unstable (Sid)

Install u-boot-tools

Installing u-boot-tools package on Debian Unstable (Sid) is as easy as running the following command on terminal:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install u-boot-tools

Uninstall u-boot-tools

To remove just u-boot-tools package itself from Debian Unstable (Sid) execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove u-boot-tools

Uninstall u-boot-tools and it’s dependent packages

To remove the u-boot-tools package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed from Debian Sid.

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove u-boot-tools

Purging u-boot-tools

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of u-boot-tools from Debian Sid then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge u-boot-tools

To delete configuration and/or data files of u-boot-tools and it’s dependencies from Debian Sid then execute:

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove u-boot-tools
