How to install unace on Debian Unstable (Sid)


Install unace

Installing unace package on Debian Unstable (Sid) is as easy as running the following command on terminal:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install unace

unace package information

distro Debian Unstable (Sid)
section Main
name unace
version 1.2b-14
description extract, test and view .ace archives
subsection utils
maintainer Guillem Jover

Uninstall unace

To remove just unace package itself from Debian Unstable (Sid) execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove unace

Uninstall unace and it’s dependent packages

To remove the unace package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed from Debian Sid.

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove unace

Purging unace

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of unace from Debian Sid then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge unace

To delete configuration and/or data files of unace and it’s dependencies from Debian Sid then execute:

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove unace
