How to install unicorn on Debian Unstable (Sid)


Install unicorn

Installing unicorn package on Debian Unstable (Sid) is as easy as running the following command on terminal:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install unicorn

unicorn package information

distro Debian Unstable (Sid)
section Main
name unicorn
version 4.9.0-2+b2
description Rack HTTP server for fast clients
subsection ruby

maintainer Debian Ruby Extras Maintainers

Uninstall unicorn

To remove just unicorn package itself from Debian Unstable (Sid) execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove unicorn

Uninstall unicorn and it’s dependent packages

To remove the unicorn package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed from Debian Sid.

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove unicorn

Purging unicorn

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of unicorn from Debian Sid then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge unicorn

To delete configuration and/or data files of unicorn and it’s dependencies from Debian Sid then execute:

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove unicorn
