How to install unifont on Debian Unstable (Sid)


Install unifont

Installing unifont package on Debian Unstable (Sid) is as easy as running the following command on terminal:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install unifont

unifont package information

distro Debian Unstable (Sid)
section Main
name unifont
version 1:8.0.01-1
description font with a glyph for each visible Unicode Plane 0 character

Uninstall unifont

To remove just unifont package itself from Debian Unstable (Sid) execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove unifont

Uninstall unifont and it’s dependent packages

To remove the unifont package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed from Debian Sid.

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove unifont

Purging unifont

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of unifont from Debian Sid then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge unifont

To delete configuration and/or data files of unifont and it’s dependencies from Debian Sid then execute:

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove unifont
