How to install viking on Debian Unstable (Sid)

Install viking

Installing viking package on Debian Unstable (Sid) is as easy as running the following command on terminal:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install viking

viking package information

distro Debian Unstable (Sid)
section Main
name viking
version 1.6-1+b1
description GPS data editor, analyzer and viewer
subsection utils
maintainer Bernd Zeimetz

Uninstall viking

To remove just viking package itself from Debian Unstable (Sid) execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove viking

Uninstall viking and it’s dependent packages

To remove the viking package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed from Debian Sid.

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove viking

Purging viking

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of viking from Debian Sid then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge viking

To delete configuration and/or data files of viking and it’s dependencies from Debian Sid then execute:

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove viking
